These 33m ferries ‘Hai Jun’ and ‘Hai Yu’ were delivered to their new home in China in late 2009 and early 2010. These fuel efficient, high-speed catamaran ferries have proven to be a good solution for a low cost operation and have very low fuel burn. The loaded speed is over 27 knots, which is very good considering she is only powered by twin Carerpillar C32 engines (1041 kw each). A comfortable ride is achieved with the deep vee hulls, it also has a low vibration and the noise level on the main deck is under 65dba.
The passenger space layout accommodates 194 Passengers on the main deck and 37 VIP’s on the upper deck, plus a private VIP room and 1 x 2 berth and 1 x 4 berth crew cabins.
The standard of construction is very high and to CCS (China Classification Society) standards. LR (Lloyds Register) and most other international standards are available. The standard of this end product Fast Ferry is of export quality.
